The concept

The German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) is dedicating a special meeting to the topic system integration.
This so called DFF Platform System Integration will provide system integrators and the supply industry with an independent and neutral forum where they can discuss new technologies and developments.
Also the platform focuses knowlegde exchange from specialists to display customers in order to help them to find the right kind of display for their needs and applications.
In engineering, system integration commonly is the bringing together of the component subsystems into one system and ensuring that the subsystems function together as a system.
But display engineering is just more than putting together constructional elements and devices - it adds value to design and functionalities and capabilities that are possible because of interactions between subsystems.
In today’s connected world, the role of system integration engineering is becoming more and more important: more and more systems are designed to connect together, both within the system under construction and to systems that are already deployed.
Display technologies already affect our daily life which almost hardly is imaginable without the advantages of them - whether when it comes to informational systems, operating control panels, using communication and consumer products or driving from one point to another.
The first meeting took place on April 20th 2010.
