New DFF Training Workshop "Flat Panel Displays"
Basics and Applications 2 - Advanced TechnologiesDFF offers a new training workshop for advanced beginners on the basics and application of flat panel displays. Main topics are display production, advanced technologies (e.g. 3D, Touch), display metrology (including a hands-on training focussing on measurement under ambient light) and display driving.The workshop targets at advanced beginners and decision makers in R&D, product engineering, purchasing and marketing, distribution that want to have a better understanding of the "world of flat panel displays".

German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) confirms its Board of DirectorsDuring the annual General Assembly in Frankfurt on June 27, 2011, the members of the Flat Panel Display Forum DFF confirmed their Board of Directors. Dr Joerg Winkler, the acting Chairman “Technologies” has been confirmed for another two years. Robert Isele, whose term ended after five years according to schedule handed over his position as Chairman “Application” to Professor Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach.

DFF strengthening German companies
This is year 8 for a DFF-initiated German Pavilion at the SID Display Week in Los Angeles. At the SID Display Week, the leading conference and show for the display industry, which takes place in Los Angeles, CA, from May 17 - May 19, 2011, the German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) presents 16 exhibitors from Germany. It is the eighth year in a row that the DFF organizes the German Pavilion together with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).

The cost effective mass production of efficient liquid crystal displays enabled the digital revolution in consumer electronics and information technology and the performance limits are far from being reached. Chances and challenges of this growing market for the European companies will be at the center of the discussions at the 32nd DFF meeting (German Flat Panel Display Forum).

German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) elects new Board of DirectorsDuring the annual General Assembly in Munich on September 9, 2009, the members of the German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) elected a new Board of Directors. The acting Chairman Robert Isele is confirmed in his office. Dr. Joerg Winkler takes over the position as Co-Chairman from Peter Bullen, whose term ended after four years according to schedule.

German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) elected a new Board of DirectorsDuring the General Assembly of the DFF in Frankfurt on June 20, the German Flat Panel Display Forum, a working group within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), elected its new Board of Directors. The new Board confirmed the two presiding Chairmen, Peter Bullen and Robert Isele, for a second period in office. Dr. Eric Maiser (VDMA) stepped down as Managing Director after seven years.

At the last meeting of the DFF Board on July 7, Robert Isele (BMW AG) was elected as new DFF chairman "FPD Technologies". Mr. Isele will share the chairmanship with Peter Bullen (i-sft GmbH), who is responsible for "FPD Applications".
DFF Board Appoints Robert Isele as new Chairman "FPD Technologies"
Mr. Isele follows Dr. Hermann Schenk, who was active already for the founding of DFF and co-chaired the association since 2003. Dr. Schenk took over a new position at a company outside the DFF membership and therefore resigned from his responsibilities at the forum. The DFF Board thanked Dr. Schenk for his great contribution in recent years, and wished Mr. Isele a successful start.June 20th, 2005

Towards a Permanent European Platform for Advanced Displays
A consortium of six European organisations, led by DFF, announced today that they have started ADRIA (Advanced Displays Research Integration Action), a network project to enhance the competitiveness of the European advanced displays community. Funded by the European Commission, ADRIA aims to create a "one stop shop" for modern information display technologies and applications for Europe.

DFF appoints Prof. Ehrfeld as Honory Chairman
In December 1998, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ehrfeld started an initiative to develop future perspectives for a German flat panel display industry, gathering 24 renowned organizations.
